How do pre-orders work?

Whilst we make a certain amount of stock ready-to-wear ( you can buy it and we have the stock ready to send to you), as a small business it is hard to stock all our styles in various sizes - especially as all the knitwear we make his hand knit. So that everyone can order the garment of their dreams, we offer a “pre-order” service where you buy a piece, and we make it after you order it. It can take up to 4-6 weeks for us to ship a pre-order garment. We hope this can make our stock more size inclusive now that our made-to-order service is closed, and give more people access to Octavia Banks garments!

what size am i?

All our pieces are labelled with standard UK sizing. Our pieces are designed to have a fitted look, so if you want a more relaxed fit we recommend sizing up. You can have a look at our size guide here.

How do i take care of my hand marbled garment?

All hand marbled garments must be washed by hand (30-40°C) with a gentle detergent. Swirl around in water for a little, then allow to soak for 5-10 mins. Rinse off detergent, then hold garment in a bball and gently squeeze out excess water. Air Dry. Steam iron if desired.

This fabric can be worn several times in between washes - we recommend air out you garment first before deciding to wash it.

Do not machine wash. Do not wring. Do not tumble dry.

how long does shipping take?

We do all our postage with Royal Mail and we post worldwide. If UK based, we use 48 Hour Tracked. For international customers, we use International Priority Tracked, and it takes 5-12 business days to arrive. When your package has ben shipped, we will send you your tracking number via email.

Do you accept returns?

Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery. Full refund issued within 5 days after we receive the garment. Please email your refund request and we will provide the return address.

Made to order garments can not be refunded or exchanged, if there is a problem with a made to order garment please get in touch with us via email. More information here.

All purchases of sale items are final. We do not accept returns on any pieces on sale. On occasion, please email to see if you can receive credit.

What fabrics do use?

All our knitwear is hand knitted, constructed and hand marbled in our studio. Made with our signature blend of soft Merino Wool and a sparkly lurex yarn that gives a shimmer to all our pieces.

The rest of our pieces are made from 100% silk jersey.
